Why would anyone want to submit him or herself to a
religion that, for all practical purposes, seems so dogmatic, hypocritical,
stringent, and condescending (or judgmental)? Why believe in the “fantastical”
story of creationism, and the resurrection of Jesus in the New Testament? How
can a supposedly loving God allow for so much pain in this world? The questions
go on and on—believe me—I know from my own experience.
